Senior Analyst, Financial Systems

Lead in design, development and implementation of new projects that affect POS (point-of-sale), POSDTA, and ECC concerning revenue and cost postings.

Key responsibilities:

Lead in design, development and implementation of new projects that affect POS (point-of-sale), POSDTA, and ECC concerning revenue and cost postings.

Track, maintain, and investigate production issues related to projects affecting POS, POSDTA and ECC.

Identify data issues and communicate with corresponding groups across the business

Assist with StatsCan and ad hoc reporting projects and analysis as required

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years related work experience in similar role.

University degree or an accounting program (CGA, CMA, CA) would be a definite asset.

Thorough understanding of PnL and Balance Sheet

Advanced skills in Microsoft office applications (Excel: pivot tables, vlook-up, macros, graphing & sorting, Access: pulling data, joining tables & cross tab tables, PowerPoint).

Working Knowledge of SQL query tools (SAS) to develop reports or MicroStrategy would be an asset.

Some flexibility in working hours required.

Understand of retail environment and associated processes such as POS, Inventory, Costing

Strategic thinker with the ability to assess the implications to reporting resulting from process changes
